Azman University Kano obtained its provisional license to operate as a Private University on 15th May, 2023. The University is deeply committed towards realizing its dream for a world class status where research and innovations are the order of the day. JOB BRIEF

We are looking for a software engineer who is innovative, motivated, and diligent to join the team in developing a new generation of software products. We want the most talented and committed people to be part of our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in object-oriented programming (OOP) with exceptional problem-solving skills. You will be responsible for designing and developing new software and also modernizing legacy applications.

 

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITES

• Design, build, test, and deploy software applications and features

• Work with business analysts to define software requirements

• Carry software products through the software development life cycle (SDLC)

• Collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture

• Write clean, concise, and efficient code

• Manage code documentation and version control

• Work in an agile environment to release software on a regular schedule

• Troubleshoot and debug software

• Participate in on-call rotation to respond to production issues

KEY SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field

• 3 years of experience developing and implementing software applications

• Good working knowledge of OOP, data structures and algorithms.

• Proficiency in Database Design

• Proficiency in programming popular languages (e.g. PHP, Javascript, Python e.t.c)

• Ability to work with one of these frameworks: React, Laravel, Codeigniter or Node.js is required.

• Good working knowledge of a DBMS such as MySQL, Postgresql or MSSQL

• Version control with Git

• Skills in Mobile App Development is an advantage

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
