ALH. (DR.) ABDULMUNAF YUNUSA SARINA
Alhaji (DR.) Abdulmunaf Yunusa Sarina, was born on the 7th day of January, 1958, at Sarina Town in Garko Local Government Area of Kano State. In 1967, after completing his Arabic school, he was enrolled into Sumaila Central Primary School, and later transferred to Rimi Primary school in Kano City where he graduated in 1973, although his two Senior brothers had opted to continue with the pursuit of their educational carrier, Dr. Abdulmunaf Yunusa chose the path of business. He started with petty trading, retail sales, Kiosks and restaurant and later graduated into export and import
before he finally joined his family business of Haulage, under his family company of Sani Brothers Transport Nigeria Limited. Currently he has over 150 trucks in the Company’s fleet. In 1990, Alhaji Dr. Abdulmunaf Yunusa Sarina, ventured into Oil and Gas business with his first filing station in Tamburawa in Kano State. Over the years, he unrelentingly continues with expansion of the Oil and Gas, building more outlets across the country.
Presently, Alhaji Dr. Abdulmunaf Yunusa Sarina has more than 55 filing stations within the length and breadth of the business, Dr. Abdulmunaf incorporated an Oil and Gas Company Azman Oil and Gas Nigeria Limited in 2007. Early this year, he acquired a tank farm in Industrial layout Esut Utan, Calabar, Cross River State, with over 40,000 metric tons Capacity which was commissioned in 2018.
As part of his diversification programs, Alhaji Dr. Abdulmunaf Yunusa Sarina, established Azman Air Services Limited in 2010, essentially to ease Air Travel in Nigeria. The Company which is wholly owned by him commenced operation in 2014 with two Boeing 737-300 out rightly purchase form BA, one year later, he acquired additional two Boeing 737-500 also from United Kingdom.
Azman Air grew exponentially to operating more than 6 Aircraft. In 2019, Azman Air blazed the trails in the Nigerian Aviation Sector by procuring the first Airbus A340-600 to be operated in Nigeria. He also sponsored the training and certifications of Nigerian Captains and Cabin Crew to operate the Aircraft. The Aircraft designed for long haul destinations was deployed to rescue Nigerians from Hungary amidst Russia-Ukraine War and from Egypt amidst Sudan Crises. The 409 seated Aircraft is also serving in the Airlifting of Intending Pilgrims from different states in Nigeria to Saudi Arabia for Hajj2023.
Consequent upon the realization of the laudable policy of the Federal Government on Agriculture, Alhaji Dr. Abdulmunaf Yunusa Sarina established two Companies namely Azman Fertilizer & Agro Allied Ltd. and Azman Rice Mills and Farm Limited in 2015. He acquired over 40 hectares of farm land for rice production and milling factory at Jido along Wudil Road, Kano State. He harvested over 50 tons of rice this year alone.

Alhaji Dr. Abdulmunaf Yunusa Sarina is an elite Business Man, a celebrated achiever and a philanthropist with Two (2) Honorary Doctorate Degrees from two prestigious Universities. He was conferred an honorary doctorate degree in Business Administration from Gregory University, Uturu, Abia State in December 2019 and Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration from ESCAE University, Benin in April, 2023
